DESCRIPTION
NMT Projects were awarded to ship 2 brand new port cranes to Sohar were they operate on a new terminal. Both cranes were loaded in Rotterdam by means of a Heavy-Lift vessel which loaded the cranes by her own gear. Due to the size and height of the cranes, the lifting was a challenge due to the minimum clearance between the 2 port cranes and ship’ gear. Despite this, the lifting operations went smoothly and arrived safely at destination. NMT provided port agency, technical and contractual support and supervised during loading and discharging.
